General and Cosmetic Dentistry

Dr. Bauer offers the full range of general and cosmetic dentistry procedures in house, including teeth whitening, Invisalign, fillings, tooth extractions, wisdom tooth extractions, dental implants, crowns, bridges, and veneers.

CEREC Same Day Crowns and Veneers

Dr. Bauer has the ability to digitally make a new crown or veneer for you in office, in one appointment. The CEREC machine is a 3D scanner that takes a visual impression of your tooth and allows Dr. Bauer to shape and create your new tooth on the computer and then have it milled from a solid piece of porcelain while you wait. Appointment times are therefore reduced in comparison to traditional methods where goopy impressions, temporaries, and a second appointment would be necessary.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is the preferred way to replace a missing or severely broken tooth. It consists of a titanium cylinder that is implanted where the root of the tooth used to be. On top of this we then connect a porcelain tooth. Dental implants have been around for over 30 years and have a typical success rate greater than 93%. Once placed, a dental implant does not wear out or need to be replaced with time, assuming you continue to see your dentist for check ups as recommended. Dr. Bauer received additional training in dental implants while serving in the US Navy. He is experienced with both the surgical and tooth related techniques necessary for you to have your tooth successfully replaced with an implant.

Invisalign Clear Braces

Thinking about getting your teeth straightened? Many times insurance companies include orthodontic coverage for adults, not just for kids. We check this coverage for you as part of our standard insurance benefits verification and can give you a pre-treatment estimate.

Invsalign is a system of clear plastic retainers that you wear throughout the day. Every two weeks, you change the retainer for a new one that moves your teeth ever so slightly. Typically, treatment takes from 6 to 12 months, depending on the severity of your bite. The retainers are very clear and are made in a way that they do not effect your speech significantly or at all. It is recommended though that you take them off while eating. Please visit Invisalign for more information.

If you're interested in getting clear braces, Dr. Bauer would take molds and photographs of your teeth during a 30 minute appointment. This information is then inputted into a computer model that can show you in 3D how your teeth will move and how long treatment should take.
